R455A has been launched by the product name Solstice L40X from Honeywell. It has been developed as an alternative refrigerant for R404A and is intended to be used for condensing unit and low-temperature chillers. It has been reduced to 1/20 or less compared with the R404A used conventionally. It is characterized by mixing CO2.
