Features
R448A is a product developed by Honeywell as an alternative refrigerant for R404A and R22, the product name is Solstice N40. It is mainly used for condensing unit.
The GWP of R404A, which was commonly used in the past, is a very large number of 4000, but R448A has a GWP of 1273 and is about 1/3. It is effective to prevent global warming compared with R404A, but the absolute value of GWP is still large.
Another feature is that the R448A is a mixed refrigerant, so there is a temperature glide. According to Honeywell data, it is 6.2 °c.
